What We Do

Our craftsmen specialise in residential re-upholstery, from lounge chairs and sofas to dining chairs, benches, beds, and any other piece that can be covered in fabric. We can also build and upholster ottomans and headboards from scratch in-store, or create bespoke furniture in collaboration with our trusted network of local artisans.

If you’d like to re-upholster a piece of your own, we’ll guide you through the entire process. We provide free quotes, help you choose the perfect fabric or leather, and keep you updated every step of the way.

Why You Should Re-Upholster

Re-upholstery is a wonderful way to give your furniture a second life. It might be a piece you feel deeply attached to and want to keep for many more years, or perhaps it’s a sofa or chair no longer in production that deserves a modern refresh. Often, New Zealand-made furniture is built to a high standard, and after a decade of use, re-upholstering can let you enjoy it for another decade to come.

Everyone has their own reasons for re-upholstering, and all are valid. Generally, re-upholstering with us costs about two-thirds of replacing your furniture entirely. For example, if you already own a high-quality sofa, re-upholstering can be a smart investment - preserving the integrity of the frame and extending its life - rather than buying a lower-quality replacement that may not last as long. In the long run, it often saves you money.

Hot Does it Work ?

To start with your quote, we will need pictures of your furniture and its general dimensions. You don't need to bring your furniture to us at this stage, as we can start your quote as soon as we have pictures and dimensions.

If you would like to go ahead, then we will go through all the fabric options to re-upholster your furniture. We have some samples here in-store, and we will be more than happy to guide your through the best one for you. Click HERE to view the whole collection online.

Once you have chosen your fabric, we will then order it and wait for it to arrive before we can start working on it. 

Lead time

Once you've selected your fabric, we'll place the order for you. Depending on availability, the fabric typically arrives within two weeks, followed by one to two weeks for the re-upholstery work. On average, you can expect a lead time of around one month for your project.

Already Have a Fabric?

If you already have your fabric ready to go, we will let you know how many metres we need and will start working on your furniture right away!
